Tauna is an Idaho native with a unique understanding of the physical effects of mental illness.  As an experienced healthcare provider working with patients from all walks of life in both inpatient and outpatient environments over the last eight years, she has learned that many people erroneously believe that mental and physical health can be compartmentalized.  She is passionate about helping people to achieve “total health” by assisting them to honor the connection between the emotional and physical impacts of all of life’s experiences.  Tauna believes that as a healthcare provider who is passionate about promoting total health, it is her duty and honor to provide a safe, judgement-free zone where patients can discuss their concerns in a positive environment. Tauna is committed to life-long learning and promotes various modalities to support wellness. She loves to partner with patients to achieve ”total health” through a recognition of the balance between mind and body.

In her spare time, Tauna can usually be found with a crochet hook in one hand, undoubtedly while crocheting ridiculous items such as adult onesies or customized cat couches for friends and family.  She loves spending time with her husband and four children, singing in karaoke contests with her in-laws, or laughing at ridiculous jokes with her six siblings.  She is an unabashed music lover and those closest to her laugh that you can that you can always hear her car coming long before you can see it because she is sure to always have her stereo turned up loud.  In summer months Tauna can usually be found going for long runs or walks around Boise, as she simply can’t get enough of outdoor Idaho.
